When you have someone else in your group and they wander off, how can you keep track of where they are and track them down to resurrect them if they've fallen?

Well, you can try having them click all over the minimap to ping a circle around where they are, and hopefully somebody alive in your party will see the pings on one side of their own minimap to clue you in on their location. You can also ask them where they are and why the heck they wandered off so far away from you because you should pretty much be staying together at all times.
